Our client was initially charged with four offences including recklessly causing injury, criminal damage, unlawful assault and discharging a missile in relation to a domestic violence matter. We were able to resolve this matter at Contest Mention after negotiating with the prosecution to amend the criminal damage charge to willful damage and successfully negotiated the withdrawal of the remaining three charges due to the credibility of the witness statement given by a relative of our client.
